Right, this is stereo3d.com, not Z73R30-WAR3Z.com, so what's wrong with shopping at http://www.edimensional.com/products/edglasses.htm (resp. their UK dependency for Europeans)? Apparently, E-D currently have the monopoly for selling 3D drivers that work with non-NVidia cards, so you have to buy it or leave it (or get a used GF3 plus some Revelator glasses at EBay for the same price..) |

Is there any driver updates to the Eye3D glasses. I have 5.02 but I switched to an Nvidia card a couple of years back and haven't needed the third party drivers. I plan on switching to a ATI AIW9700 pro card so I can run my cable thru my PC to my projector. Will the 5.02 drivers that I have work on this card with the latest games? John |

I think I bought my Glasses from E-Demensional. Not sure 'cause it's been awhile. The place I bought them from had my testimonial on their hamepage but things change. Does anyone know if they sell the drivers seperate from the glasses? John |

###I plan on switching to a ATI Don't ! ###Will the 5.02 drivers that I have work on this card with the latest games? No. This is really ancient stuff. ###Does anyone know if they sell the drivers seperate from the glasses? I never heard of e-Dim selling them seperately Christoph |

>Apparently, E-D currently have the monopoly for selling 3D drivers that work with non-NVidia cards Why do you believe this to be the case? I don't see why they (ATI) can force you to use anyone's software in particular. On the other hand, maybe they only licence their tech. reference data to that one company? |

I don't think anybody has a monopoly here in terms of legal barriers. The market is too small and the price per unit is too low, making it unattractive for 3rd parties to invest in consumer 3D driver development. Christoph |

Spoke too soon. This guy responded on another forum about the same posting: no the linux driver has had stereo stuff for a long time, leftovers from the firegl stuff. So don't hold your breath(and the linux ATI driver sux anyway and would be 2 slow to even consider playing games in stereo. My next card certainly will be Nvidia even if it is slower than ATI, cause I can get stereo and the linux drivers work as well as the window drivers...I have given up completly on ATI |

ATI suck then.... Nvidia 3d Stereo I can use my RED/CYAN glasses to play 3D games.... and It kick butt.... Nvidia is on my Top list.... ATI are loosing it. Don't buy edimensional & all the other Crap... I've tried them and they gave more trouble that I would bargain for. buy some glasses at $5 for a nice plastic and $.50 for the cardboard one... and experiement with the color/brightness/contras and you'll be amazed. |

I did manage to get hold of an eDimensional 3D driver off their own support page... Described as 'Proprietary ATI/Universal Drivers Version 4.04 Update (works on any video card)', I will try to get around to testing it on my Nvidia sometime as they seem to be slow in releasing an updated stereo3D driver, preventing me from installing 66.93 - grrr |

Hi all. Stero 3d is a very old technology... as var back as the 60's it was used in mags and cinema's in anaglyph (Red/Cyan) form. Ati used to supply if free as a driver addon buck in 92-95 but now it is hardwired into all their cards. also the reason why ati does not provide a method of using the stero 3d by it self ist hat every company's glases/monitors etc. are different and it made the setup so complex that only people with 3d programing knolage could operate it. however an ati Gpu will work with any 3d system. and ill give everyone a freeby iz3d provides a free driver that will work on any system monitor; anaglyph; more modern glases etc etc etc. http://www.iz3d.com/driver so now stop complainin and start stero 3d gamin |
