I just got old I-glasses pc version. The tracker is really funny and I can't get it to work right. The first time I connected everything and ran the TRACKER.EXE program, it found the tracker on port COM1 and then I could change the settings. It was running pretty smooth in windows. I tried it in Quake2 and the only problem was the Y axis which was reversed. But, never mind that. I tried to run the VIOTRACK to test it a little more, but it wouldn't start, saying the "the system will not open the COM1 port which is demanded by application" or something. After that same thing happened with TRACKER program and it wasn't able to find the tracker on any port. I tried switching the ports and one time it said it found it on COM2 but still tracker.exe didn't start. The tracker device worked in windows only tracker.exe wouldn't see it and wouldn't start. So, I guess there's nothing wrong with the device itself, it's only the software. After some restarts the tracker stopped working in windows. I ran VRealities FIRETRACKER tool. It made my tracker work, but the sensitivity is terrible. Another restart and attempt to run tracker.exe .. and it works. It detects the tracker on COM1. But it first says the DATA IS OUT OF RANGE in all parameters. After exiting the program, everything is totally messed up. Touching the tracker causes the mouse pointer to move by almost a screen or just disappearing in one of the corners. There is no sensitivity at all, making it totally unusable. I have no clue how the tracker.exe program detected it again and what happened to the sensitivity. I found a testing program in BSIMPLE folder of the dev kit - test.exe and it's working correctly I presume: it detects movement caused by the tracker. Smallest movements are shown as tiny increments in the axises this means tracker is ok. And at the start of the test.exe it says it detected the tracker at COM1. (When I run tracker.exe it says there is no tracker on any of the ports). WTF..
So, the status now is:
now after some restarts again the tracker doesn't work in windows (probably FIRETRACKER will do something at this point), and track.exe doesn't detect the tracker. Test.exe from SDK states tracker transmits movement information..
Does anyone know how to fix this? How to make the thing work properly?
Thanks,

PS. I'm in windows XP

Those old I-glasses programs where not written for Windows XP. They where written for Win95/98. I'm suprised they work at all.
You should just stick to the FIRETRACKER program.

Yes, I'll try..
But with all the SDK virtual IO provided for the glasses isn't there anyone who maybe wrote something for XP? Quite a few 3d-programming-nerds have that set, right? I know it's old and there's little point of developing, but maybe..? I'm a little sentimental with all the electronic crap I collect and really don't feel like stashing it in the attic..
Thanks for replying
