Could anyone explain in detail how to trick Windows XP into installing two display adapters. I want to do this so that I can have two NVIDIA detonator drivers installed by disabling one or the other in each hardware profile. Using this method 53.03 drivers could be booted at startup if I wanted to play games that need the latest drivers or 30.82 if I want to use stereo glasses. This would save many users a great deal of effort reinstalling drivers all the time. Take my word for it that rebooting and installing drivers manually on each profile does not work. i dont think its possible friend, however you may set up a dual boot system with two versions of your o/s on separate partitions, which would allow you to choose which o/s you want to boot to. this will take up more disk space consequently, you may also have to reformat your entire disk and start from scratch to create the partitions. it depends on your setup. thats about the closest i think youre going to get to solve your problem. hope you get assistance from this. | ||

Ok I had a little read over dual booting and the one thing I don't want is programs that will only install to drive c: and refuse to go on another drive. So I was thinking that I could install one XP on drive c:\ and another on drive d:\ and then just install games that need 3d glasses to drive d: and if they cannot be hacked into working on drive d:\ then it will just have to be a case of hard lines and install them on C:\ instead. As I am assuming the worst I dont expect to have to accept playing them without 3d glasses much. Any better ideas? Thanks for your help. |
