I have sega glasses and the serial port adaptor for them. I know that they work because I can use it with the Meka emulator. I have the shareware version of Descent v1.4 and LcdBIOS v1.31. I want to play Descent with these glasses and use the serial port adaptor. Can someone send me a batch file that will let me load it properly? -thanks | ||

Hi Seth I don't know whether this will work for you, but this is how I used Descent 1.4 with LcdBios Mind you, it may not have been v1.31, if I remember correctly, I had some problems with 1.31. Anyway, here is the critical loading part, which must be part of the batch file: eregcard LCDBIOS /PCP /LPT1 /HRefresh /LCDRun:descentr /lockflip /fastint:1 -lcdbios -320x400 rem:LCDBIOS /PCP /LPT1 /HRefresh /LCDRun:descentr /lockflip- /fastint:-1 -lcdbios -640x480 You may try to replace LPT1 with COM1, but I don't even remember whether it worked with the serial port or not. The rem-ed out line displays in 640x480 and some other settings are different too, I wish I remembered what was what. I do remember however one thing. Descent 1 sold me to 3d stereo, and no game since impressed me as much as Descent. I played some endless hours, days, weeks, months (:-). Gabor |
