Do nVidia Geforce fx 5500 or fx 5200 cards suitable for stereoscopic projection? or do we need Quadro graphic cards? what is the advantage of quadro over geforce? |

What type of projection? What resolution? What are you projecting - games or DVDs? In general for Games you need the meatiest cards you can. 5900XT is a great card. Quadro's are usually used for polorised projection. You can softmod standard FX cards to Quadros and save cash. |

You must answer following questions: a) What projection (passive active)? b) What sort of applications do you want to use (games, video, OpenGl applications) ? c) do you need in window stereoscopy + comfortable GUI ? d) can you live with old driver usage ? e) do you need fast graphic card ? f) do you want to use craked drivers ? h) do you look for cehap solution or stable reliable solution ? Based on the answers it si possible to direct you to proper HW :-) |

Hi M.H., Projection is passive, to be used for playing DVDs, needs output to dual projectors, it is ok if the old drivers can be used, graphic cards can be faster and the system should be stable. Thanks in advance. |

Hi, If you want to play DVDs only, you can use any dual head card and Stereoscopic Player's dual screen output mode. No special drivers are required. http://mitglied.lycos.de/stereo3d |

I agree with Peter. For passive out and palyback at DVD resolution you can use his code without no need to crack anything or purchase Quadro HW. |
