Does Nvidia Stereo 3D driver support D3D games? I play CS in OpenGL mode, Stereo 3D work fine. but when I play CS in D3D mode, then I can not switch into Stereo 3D. Does Nvidia's Stereo 3D driver only support OpenGL games? Thanks. |

I use Nvidia display driver v61.77 and Stereo3D driver v61.77. and I test D3D using MS Direct9.0c(dxdiag), no Stereo 3D effect in the D3D test screen(dx7,dx8 and dx9). I am sure that I have enable Stereo 3D in the display control pannel. |

Since no one really answered this question. NVIDIA 3D Stereo driver definately does support D3d. Always has all the way back to DX3/5 and now for DX9.0C. The stereo test app is D3D and most of the games listed in the game config property page are D3D. Possible reasons it doesn't work for you: - Game must be either OGL or D3D, Duh. - Game must run in full screen exclusive mode. (try stereo test app or a known working D3D game) - You can't run with clone mode on dual head card. - You have to have enough memory for the mode you run. - Some special effects(motion blur, HDR, depth of field, etc) used in games destroy the stereo effect and must be turned off. All I can think of off the top of my head. - StereoGamer |
