I'm having problems with certain DVDs during playback. Some work well and others playback with quite a bit of noise and oversized pixels. I'm using the GL Mpeg decoder and have tried using every other decoder in the book. Any suggestions? At one time I used the PowerDVD decoder and it worked well but it seems Sterescopic player doesn't like the lastest they have to offer. Any way I can find an old version of PowerDVD's decoder? Thanks.

It is oposite. Latest Power DVD decoder is protected from usage from non-aouthorized user interface. The Decoder does not like the player.
You must use older version of PowerDVD 4.0
to make it working ....

The GPL MPEG Decoder has the following restrictions:

1) It doesn't play copyprotected (encrypted) DVDs for legal reasons (e.g. IMAX Ultimate G's). I'm very sorry that I neighter can offer a version which allows playback of encrypted discs nor can I ship it with the player (it is a separate download). Both issues would be easy fix from a technical point of view, but cause legal troubles.

2) It doesn't play some non-standard DVDs. Most amateur copies of VHD discs don't work. In this case, using an old PowerDVD decoder is recommened. (Everybody is invited to improve the decoder -- the source is available at SourceForge.)

I recommend to use the GPL MPEG Decoder whenever it is possible, because it is one of the few decoders which interpolates the color component of interlaced 4:2:0 format properly to 4:2:2. Improper interpolation causes color ghosting.

Thanks for the input. I'm dealing with more of a situation #2 listed above. I have my VHDs backed up onto DVD and they do not play that well. Where might I be able to find an older version of PowerDVD?
