I've been using a pair of e-dimensional glasses for a few months now, and have just noticed that my quadro 980 xgl has a stereo port on it. Is it possible to simply use this port for the glasses and do away with the giant dongle? |

Only if your eDimensional glasses are the wireless type. (You can plug the IR emitter's 3-pin mini-DIN connector directly into the Quadro card's port, then use the Quadro display menus to activate that port.) Unfortunately, most wired shutter glasses, including eDimensional, use a 3.5 mm plug and are electronically incompatible with the VESA stereo signal output from the Quadro card's DIN port. |
