I've been trying on and off for FOUR YEARS (!!!) to get stereoscopy working on my ASUS P4T-based computer. When I enable stereo mode, then try to display any of the test images (including the Medical Test), I get the error message... "NVIDIA Stereo features not enabled, launching Control Panel. Select "Advanced..." and the "Stereo Properties" tab to view stereo setup information." I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers, for what it's worth. Not much, it seems. And I've read the Nvidia manual. I don't think I've overlooked anything. Thanks in advance for any help... |

Yes, by accident. Several months ago, Windows 2000 Pro simply "failed", and a repair was not able to improve it sufficiently for daily work. So I wiped the drive clean and did a completely new install. Stereo still refused to initialize. |

I have a Quadro FX 1000 on Win2K and I haven't been satisfied with the drivers (specifically for that card and Win2K) since nVidia version 56.72 Even then, to get around the "NVIDIA Stereo features not enabled, launch..." problem I have to use the registry modifications suggested by KoKoKo3k Sept. 9 2004 in the "Juat cant get them working" thread in this very support forum. Some day I'll buy new hardware and software and have to figure it all out again, lol |

I finally got it working with win2000 and some old beta drivers... It took me a few weeks to test all the different drivers, but i didn´t gave up since i knew that it was working once ;-). The only drivers that work with those older Deluxe-Models are the 14.62a from the asus-page... They are not listed under the v8200 drivers, but under the "v6800 Series Drivers".. I played with these OpenGL 3D Stereo in perfect quality (Quake 3). I have to mention that the new Detonator Drivers from NVIDIA are much faster, but therefore no chance for Stereo 3D. Now i just need to get the smartdoctor running. cheers o3 |
