I'm puzzled. Almost all of my 3d games work well with no flicker but now I got "Condor The competetion soaring simulator" and the glasses flicker every 3-4 seconds. I've got so far as now I know that if I lower it to 85hz I get no flicker at all. But higher hz it starts. Since I do it in the controlpanel for nvidia I can only go 85-100-120 etc. I guess I should get Powerstrip right? With that program you can set the hz to whatever you like, in limits ofcourse. Am I right or wrong on this one. Also, with the condor game I have disabled many non essential programs and I've blocked all the internet traffic, still the problem exists. Help on this one is very appreciative. |

Hi I have Condor (Oh Condor is my true Love!)and all is OK. The problem is: Condor use the lovest refresh for concrete resolution. The resolutions are recognised by Condor instalation and the refresh changes after instalation are not recognised (condor recognise the settings resolution and refresh in control panel custom settings). I thing the possible action is: 1.Create new custom res+refresh (in windows panels),delete the same res with lover refresh. 2.Adjust in 3D stereo fix refresh for stereo (this alone can mayby resolving your problem) 3.Reinstall Condor I have with Condor flying cca 50 hours last 35 with projector in 3D (great, great!), i have no problems with it at 85, 100,115 Hz. Qestion is used type of Graphiccard,RAM,used resolution (I use 1024x768, or 1024x650,600 -this give greather view angle) The vertical synchro must by off.(In Condor) antialiasing 4x.This is all, (I have NV 6600 GT and e-dim glasses wired).I very happy to find another 3D Condor fan :-) |

Hi Condor fan :-) Well since you have had some interesting opinions I thought I'd try it. Seems nice, ofcourse it would be nicer with a BenQ 6240 which I'm considering to buy because of you and you alone. It feels little weird to buy something for that kind of money based on one persons opinion and I don't even know you :-) I have to say that your explanation of the problem at hand didn't give me much, don't understand a thing :-) The resolution I have in condor is what I have in the Nvidia controlpanel so I don't see what kind of changes condor makes. "Condor use the lovest refresh for concrete resolution" What does this mean?? Regards |

Hi Jasper, I true Condor fan and have some experience with Condor, this is my favorite program, I real glider pilot and this is good and imersive training. Have tested some projectors and Benq 6240 price/benefit ratio for 3D stereo is great (becose high ANSI and good price). Use with e-dim shutterglasses and PC with NV graphiccard is simple and 3D at 86 Hz is great, of course. I meaning this: In control panel of Windows is possible creating of custom resolutions and custom timings (with usual default resolutions). After this creating usual programs recognised all resolutions and all timings for concrete resolution. The Condor for concrete resolution recognise and use only the lowest (I thing). First test adjusting 3D stereo fix refresh for stereo in settings in stereodriver (this alone can mayby resolving your problem). My email is visible after click on my username, we can about Condor and 3D more comunicate. Sorry for my english. |
A happy Jesper

I just bought the proj. BenQ 6240 and........YES, thank you. I'm gonna test it some more but it looks super. Nice with 85hz,it's enough. No depthQ for me :-) I'm going to try it more and then I get back to you. Now it seams that the only problem that the stereo is reversed sometimes. |

Hi, congratulations, new man in 3D stereo Condor club! Reversing is becose 1 frame delay is with projector versus CRT monitor. I have wired glasses also i build for my elongation cable for glasses with L/R reverted active (no ground) wires. The second way is usage of glasses in reverted position (up is down) no so nice, but functional. The little color L/R differences are in 3D no problem, ev. L/R changes are PC dependent, with good graphic card are problems with L/R changes only marginal. (I have Athlon 3200+,512MB RAM, NV 6600 Diamond (owerclocked as GT). Next tip for use with Condor-I use for BP 6240 adaptor lens (VANGUARD 0,8 wide angle adaptor)with homemade lens holder and the picture is 20% bigger. Lens price was cca 70 EUR My email is visible after click on my username. Regards |
