Hi, I use and support a variety of computers/op systems for business purposes. Doing this with a visual impairment can be a challenge. This challenge consists of no vision in my right eye and limited but very usefull in my left. All of this means that I already have a very limited field of vision and the need to get very close to a screen and/or enlarge the screen contents with a software screen magnifier (such as inlarge or close view). If a head tracking HMD could be used to create a virtual desktop (I use a Mac for the most part) while using a screen magnifier a surround screen could be created for the user. This would make using the "magnified" screen view easily used for such things as database development and reduce the stress/frustration factor. Can you give me any advice or point in the right direction? Michael Pulmonary Function Lab. |
