I have a LG flatron w1941s lcd wide screen monitor, radeaon HD4830 video card and purchased the eDimensional wireless set. on all games whilst edimensional controller is active they fail to launch, and all report the same error "AppName: iw3sp.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: eddriver.dll ModVer: 4.0.5.0 Offset: 00003048" I have uninstalled and reinstalled controller drives for the 3d sorftware and also updated catalyst control center and driver for my card. anyone else having this issue? |

Don't know anything about edimensional and their software, but it's quite obvious that the problem is in the edimensional software, not in the games. Does it have any pre-requisites like ".net framework" or so? From the error message i could imagine it lacks some substantial file. |

This is all that's needed according to there support page, "You don't need a specific type of computer (Dell, Compaq, Gateway, HP, etc.), however you must use an external monitor (no laptop screens). You can use any video card and both CRT and LCD monitors with our 3D glasses. Any PC powerful enough to run your games sufficiently is powerful enough to use our glasses. it should also have Windows XP installed, and not Vista at this time as Vista is not yet supported." |

Sounds like "Call of Duty 4 to me." If you search for iw3sp.exe, you'll find thousands of similar crash reports - these dont seem to be caused by the driver or your glasses but rather by the bad programming of the latest copy protection/the game exe itself. Some people got it solved by simply downloading the "No DVD" version from gamecopyworld, barely legal but the game seems to be more stable without the copy protection, at least in my case. Otherwise i could only suggest asking the manufacturer, maybe there is a newer version or patch fixing this annoying problem. |
