I am using the eye3d glasses (driver v 3.5) with the voodoo3 and it seem that D3D games (when in 3D stereo mode) cuts off the left and right edges of the display by quite a bit so that if there are any information in those areas, they can no longer be seen. It's really killing the enjoyment of the game because when in a racing game for example I can't see what position I am in, how much time left etc. Does this happen with all 3D glasses and is there any fix for it. Thanks for your help. |

Further to my above post, I have tried the latest wicked3d driver 4.12 and they still give the problem. Can anyone help me out? Thanks. |

Hi Gary, I don't understand what are you meaning the "cuts left & right edges of the display". If possible, could you please capture a picture for us, we'll check it out. thanks Kenny |

Hi Kenny, Thanks for the reply. What I mean is in a normal game a lot of 2D text (example:- your position in a race, the Lap number etc.)are displayed at the left and right edges of the display screen. When 3D stereo mode is activated these are expanded beyond both sides of the screen so that they are no longer or are only partially visible. Subsequent to my original post I have created my own configuration files to solve the problem.(The ones provided by Wicked3D are outdated and most of the time do not solve the problem the way I want). However every game is designed differently and it is a very tedious (trial and error) task configuring each game as I do not really know what each setting used in the configuration file means (I just used one from another game and played around with the ZPD, nostereostart etc until I got it right. I was wondering if you have, or know of, any guide that describes what each setting do for D3D. I have found one guide for Glide settings but not for D3D although some of the settings are the same. It would be wonderful if Wicked3D or eye3d could provide some utility that can change these values dynamically during the game so that we can see the effect in real time. Please let me know if you can help me out in any way. Thanks. |
