Well, I have two PCs and want to link them . I bought 2 Surecom Ethernet(Network) adapter cards and a crossover network cable as i don't need a hub, Now, after installing all this, how do I make it work? I cannot see any computer icon in the network neighborhood window. (all drivers are correctly installed) Thank u for help, and sorry again. |

One thing I would try is making sure they are both defined to be using the same workgroup. I think the default is actually called 'WORKGROUP'. It's in you network neighboorhood properties under the 'identification' tab. You may also have to enable the option box to allow others to access files on your computer. This is under the 'configuration' tab. Press the 'file and print sharing' button. Good luck. |
