I just got a new m/b, Intel 815E and 1Gz processor. Want to use Erazor III / Revelator at AGP 4X because this driver (4.12.01.0112-0010) is the ONLY one I've found that does DirectX stereo 3D in-a-window! (that means full-screen mode is NOT required for stereo glasses!) This is great for VRML - there are two or 3 different browser softwares that work with revelator.

Anyways it pauses twice during Windows 98 bootup, for about 20 seconds each time. It's very annoying.

I tried the latest nvidia stereo reference drivers from elsa for the E3. Interesting they booted much more quickly, but i cannot change the refresh rate of my monitor! Not to mention of course it doesn't support stereo3D in a window.

I guess I sound whiny but i want the best of both worlds! Anybody have an idea about startup parameters or maybe how to hack together my own driver (??)

Up to now I've had nothing but good experiences with this board and driver combination :) It used to be in an Apollo Pro m/b but that one didn't support AGP 2X (it was an early Apollo Pro). It's compatibility with games is very good, the extra "windowed" capability is icing on the cake! I can't go back.

The slow booting is very painful though.
