When I boot my pc, even in the DOS screens or the loading screen for the OS, the left/right shutters go on/off randomly. When finally booted in windows, they keep doing this.

So because they do this even in DOS and while loading the OS, I can't imagine it being the software.

Could it be that my glasses are broken? Or that the batteries are (almost) out? Can't seem to think what could be the problem.

It could also be a compatibility problem with my monitor and/or motherboard because these both are changed since I last used them (about 6 months ago).

The glasses will flicker during DOS boot up as the system will randomly toggle the DDC lines which drive the glasses, so this is NOT a good ndication of H/W problems. More likely a monitor compatibility issue.
