How to flip y-axis with the intertrax: The default pitch direction for mouse emulation mode was picked to provide compatibility with most games. In games like Dark Forces pitch down is achieved by moving the mouse forward. It is possible to reverse the direction by sending a command to the tracker, but it is complicated, because commands can only be sent when tracker is in native mode. In the last couple of days I added a control to ISDEMO for Windows that allows for a native mode mouse emulation, with options for pitch direction and mouse sensitivity. To activate: Connect InterTrax to com port other than the one used for the serial mouse. Open ISDEMO, make sure ISDEMO detects InterTrax. Open Tools->Mouse Control, select Control Mouse. InterTrax will continue to control mouse pointer for as long as ISDEMO is running, even if it's iconized. Do not turn on display in ISDEMO as it will slow down you computer. This only works with Windows games, DOS or other games that use their own mouse drivers will not work. ISDEMO remembers settings, so next time you start it mouse control will activate automatically. If you have a DOS game, to reverse pitch direction do following: Connect InterTrax to an available port and start ISDEMO. Make sure ISDEMO can communicate with InterTrax in native mode. Select File->Reverse Y Mouse. This sends a command to InterTrax to invert mouse direction. Without powering down the InterTrax plug it into the mouse port and connect the serial mouse. Restart the computer to force the InterTrax to switch to mouse emulation mode. Mouse direction will remain reversed for as long as the unit is on. InterTrax does not save any settings. get itdemo.zip at http://www.visionair3d.com/intertrax/ Maart |
