Hi i want to install 2 versions of windows 2000 pro on 1 pc. These 2 versions of win2k are different in settings and drivers. I want to be able to switch between them at startup.

I have the 2 versions as 2 images created with noton ghost. if i could use them without distroying the settings I would like this verry much

this way I can experiment much esier with 3d software and drivers.

can anyone here reccomend me a good bootmanager wich allow me to install 2 versions of win2kpro from 2 partitions?

thanks

Neither of those are boot managers -- they are are partitioning tools.

Actually the native multiboot functionality in W2K Pro will do what you want perfectly. Simply do your first install, allocating only part of the total drive space to W2K number 1. Then do a second install and ignore its suggestion to "update" the first install. Instead, choose to install it to the space you previously left unallocated.

The built-in multiboot in W2K will automatically add the correct entries in the boot menu, although they will both be called the same thing. You can edit the names in the (hidden) boot.ini file or via the advanced section in the startup properties.
