First off I don't know if anyone else has stated this before, if so sorry. Anyway I achieved 3d stereo with a very old NEC lcd projector by simply using the R3D controller(R3DCTL.EXE) and the x3d glasses, ELSA Revelators(old), and x3d dongle. Now the effect wasn't that great because of being forced to use interlaced mode and it making the display really dark. I tried to make it brighter but my projector is so old I wasn't able to make any major changes. But the point is the 3d worked proving that even old ELSA Revelators are lcd compatible with this controller. So heres how if you want to try, and I'm assuming it might work with any glasses that use a dongle and controller, with any lcd monitor or projector. STEP 1. Make sure glasses are hooked up and installed. 2.Find and download R3DCTL.EXE. 3.Close the glasses controller and run the R3D one. 4.Find R3D in taskbar(next to clock) and right click it. Select interleved, Lcd mode 1 or 2(both seemed to work for me), then Stereo Normal. NOTE: you might have to do Stereo - reverse. Now check the results with the nvidia test. Again it made my display dark although it might be because of my projector not being that bright anyway. Would love to here anyones results!! |
