Hi, Does anyone have any experience of colourcode 3D? www.colorcode3d.com (beware it goes full screen). Despite their claims it looks to be simply an anaglyph with amber and blue filters to distribute the visible spectrum more evenly between both eyes. Has anyone seen these glasses for sale? Cheers, Richard |

I don't have any extra glasses for sale, but having viewed Color Code images with official Color-Code glasses, I still prefer red/blue anaglyph! For me, the purple filter is simply too dark, and colors (IMO) were anything but natural. Now I have heard that a Version II of the ColorCode glasses were released with not quite so heavy filtering on the purple side. A real improvment? ...Unknown. -Greg- |

Yellow-blue anaglyph encoding was introduced (and dropped) in 1903. It has recently been re-proposed because it complies fairly well with TV colour rendering. May be I found better YB anaglyph filter colours. Roscolux #20 "medium amber" on left eye; Roscolene #886 "dark urban blue" on right eye. This filter pair seems (to me) better than Spacespex, but doesn't give that "dirty right glass" impression that makes Colorcode unconfortable. Sorryly I just have Rosco filter booklets, but it shouldn't be diffucult to find the corresponding hues from other brands. P.S. Richard, thanks for the new YB Combine filter! Sergio |
