The just release demo of Ubi-Soft's Speed Challenge has a native anaglyph stereo mode. Looks neat. If they can do this it would be very easy for them to do modes for sync-doubler and line-blanker glasses as well. Would be kind of cool to have some newer native stereo games for sync-doubler and line-blanker. Perfect stereo with no glitches, no stereo drivers, no blue-screens, no VGA-compatibility issues, no glasses-compatibility issues, no DDC or IRQ issues, no slip-ups, no refresh rate setting issues, no HUD or laser-pointer issues, etc. etc. Get the Speed Challenge demo here: http://www.gamershell.com/news/BSpeedChallengeBDemo.shtml Christoph |

Christoph, Serious Sam, both 1 and 2 has native stereo support, and it's not that old |

Thanks for the info. Is this stereo mode only available in the retail versions or is there a way to activate it in the demos? What kind of stereo is this - red-blue-anaglyph? Thank you Christoph |

That's because you shouldn't use with the NVIDIA stereo drivers at all.. That's why it has NATIVE support ;) |

I noticed that MArvio claimed that serious sam has native stereo support. I have been unable to find such an option. Many of the objects (mostly the particle effects) appear as two dimensional objects when the Nvidia drivers are used. If possible, how do you activate native stereo in serious sam? |

To activate native stereo mode in the demos check - setting - video - stereoscopic and you will got anaglyph mode in game. Stereo is excellent. For better performance use OpenGL setting. With NVIDIA driver is working well too. |

I used both the native Red Blue stereo and the page flipping from Nvidia drivers, both work, though Page flipping gives you a much better stereo effect. There are no settings for the page flipping, just turn it on on the drivers and start the game... And the red and blue (native) should be under the advanced options... Hope it helps PS> The stereo effect, on the page flipping mode, is amazing! About the best I've seen so far |
