Help from anyone who own a i-glasses SVGA 3D! I just received my i-glasses SVGA 3D yesterday and try out with few apps and games (Purchased from cyberworld for USD 800 including shipping to Malaysia). As the specs in the website said it support refresh rate up to 120Hz, it received my unit but only said it support up to 100Hz in the manual. My manual seems to be a photocopy or printed from laser printer and put into a plastic folder. I'm not sure whether this is a new unit as I don't have a proper packaging. Also, I'm having problem setting to 120Hz refresh rate. When I try using this rate, the screen became garbled. I believe Neil Axe mention that he can use it using at 120Hz. The max I can go is 100Hz. Also, when I enabled 3D mode in the i-glasses menu, the screen become unstable and you can see verticle strips. The color is alternating between greyish can brownish color around 2-3 seconds and the color contrast is very bad.. Last, I think my power supply rating that I received is incorrect. In the manual, it is stated 9VDC and 800mA. But the adapter I recieved is only 6VDC. Anyway, I'm typing this using my notebook and i-glasses SVGA. |

The correct power supply is 9VDC and 800MA. Sound like a used, defective unit without all the parts. |

I'm going to send the unit back to i-glasses for repair. Also further testing had confirm that the right eyes lens is not in good condition as when I closed one of the eye to determine the quality of the picture, I found out left eye is sharper than right eye. But one of my major concern would be the contrast for i-glasses is not really good. The LCD look worse than a LCD on your notebook. It's more like looking at a projection screen with room light on. The screen look a little bit wash out with black not so black and the color saturation is not really good. If the repair unit still display the same problem than I think I would return the unit. Rather play on a 19" monitor. |

Thanks to Stewart from Cyberworld, he is getting i-glasses.com to send another new unit to me for testing. Should expect to received the new unit early next week. Anyway, need to mention that the purchase is ship from i-glasses.com directly as I can see the ship from address is from San Francisco, California. I'll post my comment on the new unit later so that all those guys like me who had been waiting for a decent HMD can finally fulfilled their dream. USD 800 should be an OK price if it delivered what I had hoped. |

I think this forum is very funny. I just try to share my experience on getting a good and working HMD and all the 'smart ass' try to think otherwise. You guys must be thinking the government is planning some secret operation such as cooperation with Alien. Mmmm... Let me guess, your reality TV must be X-Files. This is really sad as I think sharing of information is really not possible here as I think more people do deserve to know what is current HMD market stand now and what is the expectation we should have. If the next unit doesn't perform up to my expectation, I'm sure I'll return the unit for refund. Fuoad, The only reason I get cheaper price is skill set that most Chinese possessed. Negotiation skill. P/S: Check out the grammar and wording people tend to use. This would determine if they are the same person. |

LOL. You guys expend way to much energy on these shenanigans for the return in sales you probably get from this board. But it is good for a few laughs. |

You are right Neil. This forum needs to be controlled. It is a free for all for aliases and cross postings. Stop the cheap parlor tricks cyberworld and maybe you will get a sale one day. I am sure Stewart (or should I say Pierre) will reply to this with a new alias or rude comment but the truth hurts. Just sick of seeing this type of childish crap on this forum! LOL. Jim |

Now everyone is trying to pretend to be someone else. Anyway, message to Neil Axe, can you set your desktop to 800x600x32 120hz? The max I can go is 100Hz. Also, the screen show some flaw. I'll try to extract out the picture how it looks like to describe the problem. Setting the desktop to 60hz in 2D mode seems to be fine as the document stated that it would automatically double the refresh rate to 120Hz. I'm currently taking some photo of the unit and hopefully to do some mini review. I'm waiting for the second unit to arrive soon (should be on next Monday as I last check on UPS website) and hopefully all my concern would be answered. I also think of using a cheap method for head tracking. Not sure anyone here heard of the defunct product call 3D Zone Master. It is an ultrasonic device that is wireless and by moving the device up/down/left/right you can simulate the mouse movement. I'm going to extract the ultrasonic sensor out, mount it on a headband for tracking. But of course the limitation is you can't look fully to left/right. The max I'm estimating is 45 degrees for left/right and 30 degress for up/down. But this is a good start as USD 800 for an Intertrax 2 is still very expensive. But check on the web that it also works with PS2 but not really sure how PS2 game would support it (or which game really need a mouse movement) P/S: At least the thread I started almost hit 20 messages. Although most of it is garbage. |

Still haven't start writing review for the i-glasses SVGA 3D. Kind of lazy now as I'm searching for a good projector for watching movie and gaming (PC & PS2). I had return my HMD for refund. I think a lot of people were wondering how it feels wearing and HMD. Will I see big image? Is the graphic clear? How about picture quality? Well, below is my personal opinion. Others might have different then mine. First, for larger screen feel. I think it don't really feel like you are watching 43" screen at 2m. The reason is very simple. if you look at your monitor in nearer range, do you really feel that you are looking at large screen? For me, it feel nearer, not really bigger. So, the feel is like watching very near to a LCD screen. Personally I would prefer a view where I'm sitting farther but watching bigger screen. You can sense that the movie/picture feel big... not near. As for graphic, it is very clear and you can really read text in your word or read the word in your games. But... contrast is not really up to my expectation. Without high contrast, you can feel that the color is wash out. If you watch an old LCD projector in action before, you would understand what I mean. The feel is like the colour gradient is not smooth enough. For eg., black is not really black but feel greyish. Also, on my unit, when I enable 3D mode, it is giving me problems where there is visible verticle strips on the right lens. Left lens is fine. Do this test by closing one eye at a time and compare the image quality. As for me, I'm now considering Infocus X1 projector which had 1000 lumens and 1:2000 contrast and only cost around USD1600. This should be the most reasonable projector I can get. Will try out if this work using 3D glass by locking down the horizontal and vertical refresh rate. I had download the manual and seems like it is possible to specify the horizontal and verticle refresh rate in the projector menu. |

Would this be the same for the i-visor quality? Color is washed out. I do know what your talking about the older projectors.. Is this what were getting for $750. Jared said he didn't see any color wash out, Kevin M said he did, is this because you haven't ajusted your glasses? Also would this be the case even with the Sony's... I really dont want to buy mine and find out this is what I get... KEV a detailed review would be nice seeing you got yours.. WHy is the vissett pro 2 so damn much and it don't even do true 640x480 UHMm... MIKE |
