I have both sets of programs on my computer and they are both good. 3dplus 2.0 has the drawback that it only does Mpeg2 files and DVD discs, while X3D's software does all media video codec files (ASF, WMV, Mpeg, Divx, ect) and can convert live TV if you have a capture card. I've heard some complaints about people not being able to get 3dplus to work on their systems, but I didn't have any problems. If you don't have glasses that support sync-doubling (required by 3d plus) then I would suggest picking up the X3D system. It is only $99 making it not much more then the glasses alone and you get the software with it. Then you can always pick up 3d plus later, if you want to watch dvd's in 3d. The X3D software also has one nice advantage for me. It supports doing the 3d in either interlaced format or page-flipping. With page-flipping, I can use the video out line on my video card to hook into my TV set. I have a pair of TV stereo glasses (I picked the system up for free with the purchase of a 3d video tape a while back). It looks great on my 27" tv. |

3DPlus 2 now has interlace. I got the update from eDimensional. Still have to try it on a tv though. Don't you mean interlace through your TV out, not page flip? |

Nope, page-flip. If I use interlaced it doesn't work. Page-flip mode also let me play video games on my tv in 3d with the nvidia drivers. I think it has something to do with the way the chip encodes the video. If I use interlaced, I think the image gets interlaced twice, while on page-flip, the chip interlaces the left and right images together. Just one of those weird little hardware verses common sense kind of things. It might work differently with different video cards and video-out encoder chips. |

How about purchasing it legally like everyone else??? Maybe I speak for myself, but you're not welcome here if you're trying to steal software. |

How does the interlaced mode compare to sync-doubling with 3dPlus 2? Does it make any difference in viewing or is it just a feature added to make it compatible with more glasses? |

Is there anyone among you having the experience with the use of 3DPlus Galleria and 3Dplus DVD thorough the ColorCodeViewer which has been advertised on www.3dstereo4you.com website? |

Do either of these programs try to morph the 2D image into two different stereo pairs or do they just separate two identical copies of the 2D image to make them look like they are floating in front of or behind the screen? |

Dear OliverRedfox, Would you kindly send me more instruction and pictures of transmitting pageflipping 3D signal to TV sets? Don't you use glasses dongle in this case? And do you use TV emitter to get PC VGA signal directly? I'd like to test it too. My e-mail : jhkim@ssc.co.kr |

3Dplus is a little bit advanced from morphing. It decodes MPEG code to find motion vectors. Only morphing does not require that kind of information as you see with x3d. 3Dplus is time-shifting frames to optimize horizontal parallax and it compensate for other noizy information like vertical parallax and fast movement. It also converts static scenes from brightness, sharpness, hueness and etc. In summary, 3Dplus is the only "various algorithem based patent technology", even though it requires much more modification and optimization. Frankly, if there's slightly vision of 2D-3D conversion, I'll bet on 3Dplus. |

There are two ways to do 3d to your tv. Both methods need a video card with TV-outs on it(pretty much every nvidia card out there) The best method is using a TV video dongle and glasses for it (no flickering). The dongle goes between the TV-out line and the video-in line on your tv. You simple set the video-out to tv and turn on 3d in the drivers and you have 3d on your tv. The second method is to use dual-view on both you monitor and tv (set the monitor to 60mhz- same as tv). You may have some flickering if they don't sync up perfectly. May vary from video card to card. More info on this technique can be found at http://www.stereovision.net/toxicx/tvout.htm#tvstereo I haven't tried this method in quite a while, so I don't know how well it'll work with current drivers. |
