Is it something similar to "Immersa desk"? I worked with this system at the RI university, where it was used for fluid flow visualization. Company called "Pyramid systems" (if they still in business) manufactured it. It is essentially a large (maybe 6' in diagonal) projection high definition TV driven by SGI ONIX computer (I presume now many PC video cards would be capable of doing it too). The 3D quality was comparable to 3D-MAX, no ghosting, no flikering. The price tag was over $200,000. Serge. |
