Well I was told by Ross at I-O that the SVGA i-glasses arnt made to watch 3D video. .. I told him about the problems with 3d2 mode and IMAX 3D dvd's swapping eyes and jumping in and out of 3d. He wasnt very helpful at all. .. My question is this...
Has anyone used the I-Glasses SVGA 3D to watch 3D movies in any 3D1 or 3D2 mode. If so can you tell me in detail what you did to make them work. Dont care if you used a PC or normal TV top VHS/DVD player..

I also have a Video to VGA adapter from Pelican (was $49.99 nice price)

Thanks guys

Hi Neoman

We have found the i-glasses very sensitive to refresh rate, and in our experience the refresh rates of video cards can vary quite a lot from card to card and manufacturer to manufacturer.

Experiment with different resolutions and refresh rates; try both 640 x 480 and 800 x 600. We got the best stability using 800 x 600 at either 70 or 72 Hz. Flicker was still just OK and the 3D was rock solid.

800 x 600 is a problem because you cannot playback in full screen so we had to resize the 3D PowerDVD window until we got the correct size and hence line blanking.

We used the H3D type controller to do the line blanking,(with the H3D controller software set to Interleaved mode), nVidia 4600 and also my laptop, which has an Intel graphics controller, both worked OK. Switching between 3D1 and 3D2 modes makes no difference. 3D PowerDVD for playback.

Again we could do with an inexpensive page-flipping software DVD player, the I-glasses should then work brilliantly.
