Stereoscopic Player allows you to play stereoscopic videos and DVDs. Since it is based on DirectShow, it can handle almost any media format, e.g. AVI, MPEG, WMV and ASF. Videos can be coded in several different stereoscopic formats. See the following list for supported input and output formats. Stereoscopic Player remembers input settings for each file you have played in its integrated video library. Inputs formats: Monoscopic Interleaved Side By Side Over / Under Display formats: Source Monoscopic Dual Screen Output StereoBright Quad Buffered OpenGL Side By Side Over / Under True Anaglyph Red - Blue True Anaglyph Red - Green Gray Anaglyph Red - Cyan Gray Anaglyph Yellow - Blue Half Color Anaglyph Red - Cyan Half Color Anaglyph Yellow - Blue Color Anaglyph Red - Cyan Color Anaglyph Yellow - Blue |

If you have a NVIDIA card, it may be possible to install the SoftQuadro driver and use the players new quad buffered OpenGL mode. The SoftQuadro driver is necessary because the consumer graphic cards do not support stereo OpenGL. Only professional cards support it. The SoftQuadro driver is a hack of the professional driver that works on consumer cards. See http://www.guru3d.com/rivatuner/softquadro/ for more information. If the shutterglasses controller supports sync-doubling, you can use the over/under mode too. However, I think the ED controller does not support syncdoubling, but I'm not sure because I don't have one. |

Peter, Great job! I think this version deserves to be named 1.0 The OpenGL support works fine, with my Quadro 750/ P4 3.06 GHZ/ Rambus PC 1066. It does not run fully smooth though (it stutters when playing side by side 1480x480 mpeg2 video). No problem with smaller resolutions. Thanks a lot for this great contribution |
