Hi, i read awhile ago that the ED drivers for ati cards only work with over-under mode, is this still currently true with the latest (3.0 beta) drivers from ed? they claim the 3d effect is better, faster... thanks |

Now final version with supported API OpenGL & DirectX. The same effect but more compatible with game (over/under). Not so good like nVidia stereo driver but not bad for ATI users. Detailed review: http://www.really.ru/review/e-d%20stereo%20driver.html |

I used the ed drivers with a ati 9500. and it was mostly crap. If it did work with a game it was grainy. So i swithed back my 5800 and use the older driver and stereo driver and everything is runnin fine for me right now. |

Are the latest drivers from ed for Ati cards using the over-under mode? Or are they capable of doing page-flipping mode with Ati cards like the nVidia cards are capable of? Also, do any of these 3D drivers for Ati or nVidia allow you to view in 3D with pixel and vertex shaders on? I'm a little confused about all of this. I like the graphics that an Ati 9800 can provide, but I heard that nVidia has much better 3D effects. I want to run 3D effects with shutter glasses, but I also want to have better graphics with Anti-aliasing and other eye candy features. Ed seems to be promising both with their software and with the capability to use Ati cards with them, but is Ati+Ed 3D mode better than or at least equal to nVidia+Ed 3D mode? The salesman at Ed tells me that Ati is winning in the 3D and better graphics at the moment, but I hear otherwise from forums such as this. I just want some honest answers before I sink $500 plus dollars into either video card. Any info I'd greatly appreciate. |

(it's Randy Visnich, I forgot my password lol) Thanks guys for the input, I think I'll have to stick with nVidia then for the best 3D gaming I'm just hoping Lock On Modern Air Combat and Falcon 4 Gold works good in 3D |

ED driver works on Nvidia cards too. Using the over-under mode. Nvidia stereo driver looks much better though (page-flipping mode) . |

I emailed ED for the ATI driver in page-flip mode a while back. They never responded to me. I will never buy from them again. |
