Just before X-Mas, I visited the new IMAX-3D in the new 'Space Park' indoor-entertainment center in Bremen, Germany. They are showing 'Space station 3D' during the park's opening hours (seen that, though you have to pay full park fees for that) and Elephants and Dinosaurs films in the evening, using polarizing glasses for stereo. 'Space station 3D' was really impressive - that is, if you manage to find a seat in the back rows, since most is so much out of screen that it completely fills the theater. Even in the second row from the back, I could almost catch those virtual floating M&M's;-) There is another ride in the park with stereoscopic projections, where you meet ~10 screens showing wobbling 'Alien' life forms - quite well-done out-of-screen here, if they only hadn't managed to reverse L/R on half of the screens :-( |
