I was thinking someone could make a 2D to pseudo 3D goggle using a high resolution digital camera type device covering one eye sort of like the Borg wear so it snaps sort of like a delayed video frame in the viewer of the left eye while the right eye is unobscured. So an enhanced Pulfrich is produced. You could wear it at a picture theatre or watching TV or watching a projector. or computer video. Weird ay. Real time conversion of any 2D video source. It might give hyper stereo of stereo objects in the field of view also |

It isn't possible with current technology but currently stereo i-glasses style displays could be used with cameras attached to them and one eyes video delayed by a frame from the other eyes camera It would give pseudo 3d of 2d video devices in the field of view and a hyper stereo of any other real 3d objects in the field of view. |

What I meant is New product based on i-glasses Stereo i-glasses style displays could be used with added cameras attached to them and one eyes video delayed by a frame from the other eyes camera and that delayed frame displayed on one eye of the i-glasses while the other camera displays on the other eye of the i-glasses in relatively realtime. It would give pseudo 3d of any 2d video devices viewed in the field of view and a sort of hyper stereo of any other real 3d moving objects in the field of view due to enhanced Pulfrich effect. |

You are talking about a field sequencer. Using to convert ordinary video from 2D to 3D is not possible as it requires the video to be pan from left to right all the time. |

I've experimented with field delay to one eye with video files with Stereo Movie Maker freeware software and yes it does require moving objects but even very slow moving objects look quite nice pseudo 3d and so doing frame delay in one eye with i-glasses should have the same effect with the cameras added. The 3d created looks as good as 3dplus and X3DPC Gateway and X3D TVGateway software if not better and it doesn't make much difference if you reverse eyes. Stored Frame delay to one eye is what I mean to create the enhanced Pulfrich effect. A frame delay means 2 field delay but 1 field delay is enough to create a 3d effect in the field of view of 2D video objects. |
