Spectacular 3D (Red-Blue) images from Nasa.

The latest Mars 3D image is posted here for temporary viewing only.

Nasa.Gov has a habit of hiding the 3D images after a day.

Note: Image is 7mg

enjoy -

No - Just added a little smile to heat the winter.

If you want them posted as original - let me know.

Nasa has Gremlins effecting the mission, hope they can get them worked out as the images are great.

Very nice of you, thankyou.
Could you label the scale bar though? How tall is it? How wide? How far from the camera? What is its' bearing relative to true Martian North?

The only information I can find is this quote from the Nasa site:

"Presently, Opportunity is on its lander facing northeast; the outcropping lies to the northwest. These layered rocks measure only 10 centimeters (4 inches) tall and are thought to be either volcanic ash deposits or sediments carried by water or wind."

MARTIANS ANAGLYPHS ANIMATIONS
Have a stereo look to Opportunity site's ...
Stereo viewing give really the sensation of being in front of the landscape, and the animation
is like the exploration of the crater ...
Some more MAA will be added soon ... stay tune !!

Also on same page : "traditionnal" 3D color explorations of Opportunity nest ...
