Version 1.3.0 of 3DProducer has just been released. This new version is faster and higher quality than ever before. It also comes with a 'high framerate mode' for playing high resolution clips and out-of-screen effects.
3DProducer is a realtime 2D->3D video converter for most common types of video files.
Get it at http://www.photoalb.com/producer.

Hi Richard,
I downloaded the new 3dproducer. As expected its a good software with visible improvements.
However, it does have very ghastly artefacting.
Is there any way to remove these? or is it something that will be inherent because of the nature of the conversion method used? ie depthmap making and then extrapolating views from that?

It would be nice if you can explain the concepts you use to do conversions on your website too, it will definately make interesting reading, and might spark new theories!

Best,
Clyde

Richard,

Will 3dproducer work with Quicktime?

Clyde,

Thanks for your feedback. The artifacting is a symptom of the conversion method, however you should find that the level is acceptable so long as the program can run at full framerate. As the framerate starts to fall, generally so does the quality.
I do have an anti-artifacting filter but am uncertain about the results. If you would like to test it and give me your feedback please email me and I'll send you the patch.

Best Regards,

Richard

(Jim, 3DProducer doesn't support Quicktime at present. Only those media formats supported by Direct Show.)
