After a long period being not allowed to publish this great news we are pretty happy to do it now: Cologne, November 11th 2004: As well known through the German public press the German ESA (European Space Agency) had a fantastic 3D live show for more than 6000 visitors in the Cologne Arena. After a long test period the ESA decided "SilverFabric Silver 3D" to be the only screen material having the best material and optical properties for the huge 16 x 12 meter non-depolarizing projection screen. In 4 days only before the show began the German SilverFabric team constructed and produced the biggest 3D projection screen ever done in Europe. As projectors 4 Barco R18, each having 18000 Ansi lumen, made the projection with net 76000 Ansi Lumen for the SXGA standard projection. The polarized 3D projection was filtered with 4 SF-POLAR polarizing systems which enabled to have 46% transmission and an unparallel great extinction in combination with the German 3D screen material. A picture of the screen installation and further product related information are available at http://www.silverfabric.com/html/sf_silver3d.htm Responsible for this amazing information is: Thomas Porrmann, (CEO and Head of Technologies at SilverFabric) |
