I bought a second Virtual fx and daisy chain
the two together and block the infrared sender from
one with black insulation tape. I find that powering
them down and up again several times you
can through random probability get them to add video
field shifts together to give much more realistic 3d.
I'm suggesting you make a super virtual fx
or virtual fx pro model that adds an extra field delay
to the existing field delay provided by the
standard virtual fx. It would be awesome.
My set up looks fantastic.

I use Music Video mode on both
Virtual fx's as this gives least amount of picture
distortion. I only use Parallax on the second
Virtual fx the one connected direct to the TV.
A parallax of 10 looks nice. There seems to
be four random possibilities of field delay on powering
up the Virtual fx's. Two of the possibilities the field delays
subtract and cancel one another out so destroy good 3d.
The other two possibilities field delays add together one
looks okay but seems to be reverse stereo so looks
not quite right. The other possibility looks best
with very realistic looking 3d. So a number of power
ups must be done to randomly get the best setting.
Cheers
Philip

STEP 1 Connections

connect to
Virtual FX 1 (Video In)

Virtual FX 1 (Video Out)
connect to
Virtual FX 2 (Video In)

Virtual FX 2 (Video Out)
connect to
TV (Video In)

STEP 2

Power up Virtual FX 1 first
Once initialised 2 big green lights will be on
then power up Virtual FX 2 and wait till
it's initialised 2 big green lights on

If necessary power them down and repeat
step 2 until you see on the TV the
two seperate fields left right images
are moving differently then the fields
are seperating in the Virtual fx's and
best 3d is being achieved.

some video sources like my digital set top box
for digital TV fail to initialize the Virtual fx's
in to video field delay, but both my computers TV
outs and stand alone DVD player do. So to get the
digital set top box to work I initialise the
virtual fx's with the dvd player or computers TV
out connected as the video source and use a video
switch box to switch over the video source
to the digital set top box to get the virtual
fx's video field delay to work on digital TV.

I actually didn't mean we make a super virtual Fx
or virtual fx pro. I hope i-glasses or x3d
manufacture that. In the meantime we can
do a similar thing by using two virtual fx's
connected together.
