3D Stereo MEDIA (www.3dstereomedia.eu), TWIST, and peacefulfish are launching the 1st S-3D co-production market in Europe and beyond, called the 3D Film Mart (3DFM). The 3D Film Mart will take place in Liège, Belgium on 7-8 December 2011 as part of the 3rd edition of the overall 3D Stereo MEDIA event, which is dedicated to all forms and aspects of 3D. This new market is partially-funded by the MEDIA Programme of the European Commission. The 3D Film Mart will bring together (1) European producers (film, TV, alternative content, etc.) who have S-3D feature, documentary, or animation projects at in development, and (2) international financiers (equity investors, funds, sales agents, distributors, etc.). Producers and financiers will engage with each other during pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings. In addition to its business side, the market also wants to be educational and to provide both 2D and 3D producers with insight into the world of S-3D production. As such, 2D producers are invited to use the market as a way of exploring the opportunities of the S-3D world. Producers of 2D and S-3D films are thus encouraged to submit their S-3D projects to participate in the 3D Film Mart. A jury will select the top 20 projects and producers of the selected projects will be invited to pitch them to a panel of ten financiers. This pitch panel will award the best project pitch with the 3DFM Pitch Prize in the amount of 3,000€. The conditions and the submission procedure can be found at www.3dstereomedia.eu/filmmart .
