This Tutorial with Steve Wright explains how to amend some typical conversion artifacts, especially the ghosting effect. If high quality is required, it may necessitate cumbersome stereo painting, but such hassles are avoidable using a Stereo Generator option: edge smoothing. It is a “last resort” to cope with edge ghosting automatically. For high-quality conversion, the use of clean plates is unavoidable for certain shots. This tutorial shows how stereo generator simplifies the application of clean plates, without additional rotoscoping, to merge the background and foreground layers.
