Hi my name is Tony and I am a Linux user. I have seen many sites that offer Hardware/Software that is compatable with windows only. :-( Well any ways I am very interested to find out more about VR but to do that I need to know where I can get hardware/software that is compatable with Linux. Do you know where I might look or do you know any thing about Linux Hardware/Software. Please email me back at me@buzzpcinfo.com Anthony S. Wyatt |

My oven opinion is , that the opinion for stereo on Linux now are the LCD shuterglasses with line-blanking HW and OpenGl created interlaced output ... FOsr sampel GLUT based Linux compatible sources have a look on my WWW: http://mysak.umbr.cas.cz/~husakm/Public/StereoOpenGL/StereoscopicOpenGLTutorial.htm |

As so far as the hardware end I know of one display adapter that does it well but it will cost you. The HP FX10 has Linux drivers that support quadbuffered stereo. Price...$2250 USD. You can get it to work on non-Kayak HW under LINUX. see: http://www.bstore.hp.com/cgi-bin/hpbs/specshtml.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0708331342.0995333071@@@@&BV_EngineID=ddallheilffebeicecfgecjj.0&oid=25123 Maybe we might see something new at Siggraph2001? |
