...is at last in sight. Inviso (http://www.inviso.com) are making a stereoscopic version of their eShades product, which from many press articles are superior in display quality from the Cy-Visor HMD. A reply email from their sales department stated... We already have our eShades running with the new NVidia drivers and support full 3D stereoscopic viewing. Design of the eShades is essentially complete and we expect to enter formal OEM qualification with our target OEM customers next month. We will rely on these partners to brand and resell the product and would expect them to go to market early next year. Our initial target audience will be the notebook user who is traveling and concerned with viewing privacy while using his (or her) notebook on airplanes The 3D capability is just an additional value add feature for the user. Our marketing plans for the 3D stereoscopic version are not formalized yet but we are talking with some firms who focus on this market. They wish to make it clear that their sales channels have not yet been defined, and that they will NOT sell direct to end users. However this seems to me like one of the most interesting products due for release. Comments? |

So everything is done, they are ready to mass-produce, but waiting for sales contracts? Someone just has to print MYNAME on the glasses, make a package and manuals, setup a webshop and start selling them? Since you can email them, ask why the don't offer evaluations kits, like they do with their other products. |
