In response to demand - the 3D Film Factory’s will offer its popular 3D training workshops in Las Vegas during the 2011 NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) convention (April 9-14th). These successful, “hands-on” sessions guide filmmakers thru the principles and art of stereoscopic 3D production, from inception, production, post and even exhibition. Workshops are a full day and cover the following topics; principles of 3D digital filmmaking, camera selection, gen-lock issues, re-lighting for 3D, beam-splitter vs side-by-side rigs, rig calibration & prep, 3D shooting ratios demystified, gauging depth, pop & parallax, convergence, perfect picture alignment, professional 3D vs. amateur 3D, easy 3D post workflows, what 3D formats to exhibit and all the other details you need to know to create superior quality 3D entertainment. Our 3D Training Workshops are geared for individuals preparing to shoot a 3D production, be it a commercial, short, documentary and/or feature film in the “real world”. Therefore participants are encouraged to ask questions and get behind the camera. Yes – that’s right, unlike other organizations that teach only 3D theory, we train participants on how to set-up and successfully use a 3D system – beam-splitter, side-by-side & real-time 3D viewing gear. The instructors are veteran stereographers (3D experts) and come equipped with years of 3D filming and production experience.
