I've been rendering steroscopic images using various rendering software and then creating sort of inverted stereo pairs that you can see by "going cross-eyed". They look great, but I'm kinda sick of going cross-eyed!! Back in the day, there was a stereo shutter glasses system for the amiga ("x specs")which included a utility that let you place the left image in one slot and the right in the other and it would flip them for you. (the way the stereo nvidia driver does for video games)I've got the stereo working great for games under nvidia's system but I can't seem to find any sort of nifty utility that lets me plug in my left and right jpegs as described above. Is there a simple utility floating around that will allow me to do something similar with the nvidia stereo system (Is it hidden in the driver package somewhere and I'm just clueless??)
If anyone could point me in the right direction It'd really make my day!

The nVidia stereo driver package includes a stereo viewer. Under nvidia stereo properties there's a stereo-viewer button.

You can take ANY image tool.
Create a new picture with double width - like 2048x768 for 2 1024x768 images.
Import your images there. Place them side by side.
Save them as JPEG.
Rename the file to *.jps
Watch them with the nVidia stereo viewer.

I am making slide-show from rendered pictures in Adobe AfterEffects:

- create new "composition" with double width - like 4000x500 for two 2000x500 images;
- import images (not .jps, .jpg format), place them in Timeline;
- add transition, effects, music etc.;
- render;
- enjoy!

In AE v6.5 is possible to make easy stereoscopic titles to your "masterpiece".
FREE YOUR MIND!!!

The Nvidia stereo viewer application is a very nice image viewing tool with lots of handy features but they didn't make it convenient to use. Rather than going to the display properties screen and rummaging through the settings to find it, just do a file search for "nvstview". It should be hidden among your system files. Once you find it just right click on it and create a desktop shortcut. Now you can enjoy viewing anaglyph or page flipped images, singly or as a slide show virtually instantly.
