Hi, I am currently writing a program which will hopefully use page flipping to create a stereo 3d display in opengl using GLUT. What I am wondering - Is it possible to do such a thing on a non quad buffered graphics card ie a geforce? This will therefore allow it to run on other non quad cards like ati radeons etc (I understand you can hack a geforce and force it to be a quadro but dont want to do this). In the lastest nVidia driver (geforce) for stereo glasses there is a test app that uses page flipping so I guess it is possible. Just have got nowhere in trying to get the driver to allow it. Any advice appreciated Nic |

Babe: Easy answer. It is impossible and nVidia will make evrything to make this impossible = becouse this will have negative influance on the Quadro sales. |

Hi thanks for the reply. Guess I am going to have to use an interlace method then... Damn those large companies and their evil profit margins! Nic |

Hi, I thought GeForce cards could be cracked/hacked to turn them into Quadro with hardware mods (for old ones) or, better, with software like Rivatuner. Am I wrong ? |
