Here is a neat little tool that i programmed and use myself quite often. It is intended to enable switching newer windows Versions to 640x480. The tool switches to 640x480 with one click and you can switch back to the original resolution. Very handy if you use old hardware like 1995 i-glasses or VFX-1, Cybermaxx etc. I have put mine into quick launch so i can always switch to the "compatible" 640x480 mode to enjoy 3D movies or pictures for a break. http://www.tankraider.com/userup/1275166793.zip |

Oh one tip for the movie freaks - if you want to watch the real "Field Sequential" DVDs (Usually pirate copy style bootlegs of VHD or converted versions) like i bought the on ebay - then first switch to 640x480, open VLC Media player to play the movie, set Full-Screen and set Aspect ratio to 4:3. That is important because if you just watch it fullscreen and forget to force VLC to 4:3 it will break the 3D information and you only see glibberish. But so you can enjoy the Field Sequential 3D Movie with your vintage HMD in Windows XP. (The tool should also work in Vista or windows 7, but i dont have these to try). |
