Alas, not the greatest app but i give it away for free, so don't complain. ;) It's a small tool i made while experimenting with vintage headsets like cybermaxx, VFX-1 and 1995 i-glasses. All these devices use field sequential 3D so i made a tool to create field sequential 3D Pictures. It only accepts left/right format stereoscopic images as this is the format i worked with. Another limitation of the app is rather a limitation of the Field sequential technology - the fact that it "halves" the vertical resolution for obvious technical reasons. I created test images in the resolution of 320x240. The resulting image is 320x480. The novice would assume that the HMDs generate a 320x240 image out of it, BUT thats not how they work - they keep the proportions which means your images look like they are stretched to double height. The 3D is working fine here, but it became obvious that the real Field sequential 3D process costs you half of your lines, no matter what you do, it's "by design". So the correct approach here is to take your 320x240 images and skew them to 320x120! The result will be a proper looking 3:4 image. The app is currently also limited to 320x240 as a max resolution for the images, this is as i use graphics elements on the form actively instead of virtual images. Maybe i will release a better version if i feel like making one, but so far this is all you get from my bored afternoon.
