I just got an nvidia Quadro4 980XGL.
I was really expecting a cakewalk as far as stereo goes.. but guess what, I seem to be happier with a Gforce FX series.
i must admit, I have been trying the E-dimensional/X3D shutterglasses and dongle connected to the card.

Things that dont work
1) Cortona VRML player (opengl based renderer)
2) Quest 3D
3) Cubic space RTRE output (published as exe)

ALL of the above work just fine in a Gforce FX card and at full screen in directX.

The reason for getting the Quadro was simply for the switch eye option, until I get the stereo switch box from MH.

I really want to know how to get opengl playing back at full screen on-the-fly like the Gforce FX cards do.
Or is it that Quadros only work proper with crystal eyes glasses?

The one application that works just fine in windowed and fullscreen is Stereoscopic player.

**sigh**

Hi Clyde

It is more safe to have on a Quadro based PC dual boot - one for OpenmGL applications (using the profesional in-window working drivers) and one for DirectX applications ...
E-mail me , please, for eventual help with the setup ...

I had send you an E-mail related to the switching box supply details as well ... Have a look please ..

to make a quadro run the gaming drivers you must turn off quad-buffered stereo in the control panel

and for me you must turn off gaming drivers to run quad-buffered stereo

How do you turn off the gaming drivers without Uninstalling them?this is why M.H proposed a dual boot setup.

Dimi: it is possible to set them to "Disable" state - this does not conflicts with the OpenGL steroe modes. The "Enable by hotkey" mode is still in confilct with nVidia OpenGL drivers. But I prefer to have dual boot setup not to be forced to manipulate with the drivers each time I need diferent stereo mode. Rebboting is faster and more reilable (we use this setting on our InFocus DepthQ demo machine) ...
