Hi I have a quadro4 980xgl on my system. I am working on the Windows Xp, SP2 platform. I have installed the driver of NVIDIA. Gone to Advanced OpenGL Settings and enabled stereo with On board DIN Connector. However, when I am running ERDAS and set display settings to Quad Buffered stereo, it says that the current graphics environment is not suited to run Quad Buffered Stereo and hence it is switching back to color anaglyph. Microsoft Motocross Madness is also capable of displaying stereo, but it is also not displaying the same.

Try some test progrmas from this link: http://www.gali-3d.com/archive/articles/StereoOpenGL/StereoscopicOpenGLTutorial.php If they work, and ERDAS does not, ERDAS is buggy .. Did you disabled the game stereo drivers ? |

I was doing some strange things with the settings yesterday and I found out that the problem would be solved if I check on the option for "Enable early z-test" Any comments on this? |

Stereoscoopic rendering requires 2x Z-buffer, not only video buffers, one for each eye. Some simplified Z-buffering methods do not work or it si neccesary to clear Z-buffer betwen each view rendering. Maybe the probelm was realted to this. |
