I've been using a 6800 modded to an FX4000 for a looong time now and I've just started redeveloping my graphics code and realized how klunky the card is getting. I'm about to kit out a room full of stereo capable machines but if I were to fit them all with the latest quadros I'd double the cost per rig and I'm working to a bit of a tight budget. Question: Does anyone know what the latest stereo capable card solutions are (for quad, really don't want to go over-under) that don't involve the Quadro route? At the moment it looks like I could get two new Geforce's and one of those 2-1 multi-plexers for less than a Quadro 5500 which seems crazy. Or perhaps i should switch from crt's to dual input stereo specific flat screens and use two cards... Any thoughts? |
