MSFS is rumored to be good. X-Plane is very good in stereo. |

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a great program, but doesn't work too well in stereo-3d. I mean, it does work, but I could never figure out why the 3d falls apart, if I bank with the plane. Because it does. As long as you fly straight and forward, there is a reasonably good 3d effect, but change direction, turn, try to land, and it is no good. |

Don´t have that issue at all with FS 2004. Only issue is with the lightning. If you want to fly at night you have to disable t&l and prepare for a 50 % performance loss. Makes up a bit that performance go up at night since you see less but still. stereo3d is not perfect in FS 2004. Especially add on scenery causes issues but it´s pretty damn good. |

I love FS 2004 in 3D, but I use eDimensional glasses. The problem Anonymous1 describes with banking the plane - I'd like to know some details. Check out http://3DFlightSim.com My web site has some tips for FS2004 in 3d. Yes, you have to turn off the t&l to makes the runway lights work. But I found a way to make the scenery look just a good in 3D as in 2D! |

Hi I use FS 2004 with Active Camera, pedals (homebuilt),e-dim wired shutterglasses and DLP projector (Benq PB 6240) with wide angle adapter lens and the VR imersion in 3D is very, very good. (diagonale of picture is cca 3,5m, my Head is cca 3m from the screen). Better as FS 2004 is for my the new Condor soaring simulator (I real glider pilot), this flyying is totally real and 3D is errorless. (www.condorsoaring.com).Is possible flying of glider contests and multiplayer all in 3D stereo! |

Hornet, At what refresh rate could you play? Is stable? When using the wide angle adapter, the quality is kept? Or it became a bit blurry? I'm specially interested in your layout, I think. So any help from you will be helpful Tx! |

Stabile refresh 86Hz!, really, flicker is absolutly minimal, ghosting practically no, picture is more more better as CRT (and the diagonale!). 2700 ANSI light output of this projector is for 3D stereo ideal. Is little R/L color difference, in 3D stereo absolutly no problematic. Is 1 frame delay, the glasses must by R/L reversed, this is no problem with wired glasses. The picture with wide angle lens is minimal blurry at peripheral parts of picture, for games and sims no problem. With Condor soaring simulator and team speak this is possible maximum of home simulation. The price for glasses and Projector is in my country (Slovakia) cca 1100 EUR. Wide angle lens (Vanguard wide angle lens for cameras with factor 0,8 cca 70 EUR ,the holder for this lens I have homebuild. See Jaspers posts. Regards. Hi Hornet, I'm using PB6240 too (really good stereo3d!) and want to enhance the picture a little bit! Where did you get that Vanguard wide angle lens adapter and how have you built the holder?? |
