Based on positive feedback on this forum, I am thinking of buying a BenQ 6240 and have two questions that hopefully some of you who already have one can answer. I have written to BenQ, but so far they have not responded. 1. I will likely be ceiling mounting the unit for front projection, but will have to mount it slightly off horizontal center of the screen. I know that the unit allows you to shift horizontal and vertical position with PC inputs. Will this feature allow me to compensate for mounting the unit off center? Or does the shift feature crop the image? 2. I will be using a 16x9 screen, but plan on using the unit to display 3D content in a variety of aspect ratios (4x3, letterboxed, and 16x9 anamorphic). I am planning on using a PC running StereoscopicPlayer in page-flipped mode as the main application. Will this combination of HW and SW (6240 and StereoscopicPlayer) allow me the change aspect ratios without having reposition, re-zoom, re-focus, etc. the projected image? Thanks in advance for your kind replies. |

Hi, PB 6240 had only vertical keystone correction(software), slightly decentration I think is no so big problem, the other possibility (I have) is normal centration of PJ and slightly decentration of positon of head. I use this setup more for soaring simulator (with wide angle lens) Anamorphic lens vere good, but the price! |
