Hi all, I am having following hardware to configure: 1. Projector - Infocus Screenplay 4805 2. Laptop - Dell Inspiron 9300 (ATI Radeon Mobility x300 graphics card) 3. 3d shutter glasses - E-D Virtual FX system along with 3d shutter glasses (no PC dongle) 4. DVD Player - Sharp 1 bit dvd player Following connection works fine for me: 1. Connected the component output of my Sharp DVD player (progressive scan) to component input of my projector. 2. Connected the composite output of my Sharp DVD player to the composite input of E-D Virtual FX converter The 3d DVDs look pretty impressive with this configuration. I am unable to setup my projector with laptop with ATI Radeon Mobility x300 graphics card. I intend to play games in 3d stereo using my laptop, projector and 3d shutter glasses. I also tried downloading and configuring the edimensional drivers that supposedly works for all graphics cards. I have tried following configuration - 1. Tried connecting the S-Video out from my laptop to S-Video in of VirtualFx and then connecting Composite out of VirtualFx to Composite in of Projector (Virtual FX sitting between laptop and projector). Neither the games nor the 3d dvd works. 2. Tried connecting the VGA output from laptop to M1-DA/DVI input of projector and connected the S-Video output of laptop to S-Video input of Virtual Fx (Virtual FX doesn't sit between laptop and projector but keeps on receiving video signals from laptop through the S-Video cable). Neither the games nor the 3d dvds work. Please help me configure my projector with my laptop for use with 3d shutter glasses. Also could someone answer following queries: 1. What is the difference between using E-D 3d shutter glasses with dongle and the one with Virtual FX converter? Is my configuration not working because of absence of the dongle that sits between laptop and projector? 2. As I understand the dongle (with emitter) will sync up the glasses using information received from laptop/pc thru the VGA port. Isn't the same information being also provided to the Virtual FX converter through the S-Video port (in the configuration that I have tried)? Thanks in advance for the help. |
