Hi all! trying to use my Elsa Revelator with my inspiron 9300! Granted its LCD, and yes it wont work with it (totally polarized, and you can't even see the screen), however, I can't even seem to use it with my external CRT monitor that I used to use with it ALL the time. Great pair of glasses, and im stuck right now with Anaglyph, which doesnt seem to cut it. Anyhow, just wondering if anyone has any info on using it with TV out to a TV or even if its possible to do something like DVI out with these glasses? Granted DVI is a constant signal, no true refresh rate like 120hz, etc..just wondering what possibilites I could do! Please help! |

So why did it stop working with VGA-out and CRT? Which nVidia driver are you using? DVI does have a frame rate, but it won't help here. TV-out usually doesn't work for stereo and even if it would why bother? VGA is superior and easier to set up. Christoph |

Never did stop working, never did try it right... how would i get it working with CRT tv? I mean it would effectivly bypass the vga dongle thing since i'd be using svideo out, so.....is there something to force the glasses to actually start shutting and such or what would the setup be? |

I have a 9300 and a CRT and I've tried both revelator and the Eye3D, and they both work fine. What exactly is not working? The only real hurdle I came across was the drivers, the newest drivers would not work on the 9300 and I couldn't find stereo drivers for the version of nvidia's drivers it had installed. But I found a website that had modified driver ini files, that would allow me to install the latest drivers and the stereo drivers on top of them. Another quirk I noticed was that if I want to use stereo, the CRT has to be the primary display, and the only way I've found to make it the primary display is to not use the LCD display (Hold Fn and press F8 twice is a quick way to do it). And every time I switch to the CRT, I have to make sure to go into the stereo driver and make sure my refresh rates are set, and even if they are correct press the okay button (don't cancel), not doing that causes the stereo drivers to not work. |

I have just aquired a pair of wireless elsa revelator glasses. Am i right in thinking that if I have the nvidia stereo drivers working, the glasses should just work without needing their own software? |

That's correct. However you have to choose the correct glasses type in the nVidia driver (DDC-controlled glasses), but this is the default anyway I think. Christoph |

hmmm...this means that I may have a defective pair. I'll try replacing the batteries. |
