I'm looking to be able to control a pair of infrared shutter glasses, but not for viewing 3d content. I would like to be able to tell it precisely when to open/close each shutter. I don't know very much about shutter glasses and do not own a pair yet. Does anyone know if there is a driver available that would allow me to do something like this? Or does anyone know what the ir signal that would do this is for a specific pair of glasses? |

The glasses are tigered by normal TTL logic signal. So if you can put on the miniDIN-3 conector driving the galsses the proper output you can do what you want ... My company GALI-3D offers custom electronic development - so if you will let us know what you need we can do this ... |

Most probably, the controller in the glasses only allows one lens to be dark at a time. The miniDIN-3 (if it's VESA compatible) certainly works in that way, with the high/low control signal corresponding to either the left-dark/right-bright or left-bright/right-dark states. If you want total control, you'll probably want to use wired glasses and build your own controller to drive them. I'm currently facing a similar problem in the adjacent crosstalk/ghosting thread. We are trying to design a controller that would allow both panels to darken simultaneously for a cleaner 3d image. If you have some ee expertise, then perhaps we can work together. |
